Tom Pukys
A lifelong resident of Stark County, Tom Pukys has deep roots in the local community and an enduring passion for tennis. A graduate of Perry High School, Tom distinguished himself as a state qualifier in tennis, showcasing his talent and dedication from an early age. He continued his athletic and academic journey at Malone College, where he earned First Team All-American honors in tennis.
Tom grew up playing at the North Canton Racquet Club, where he now serves as a Tennis Professional. He has taught at several area clubs, including the former Bran Haven Tennis Club and Shady Hollow Country Club, and served as Head Pro at Congress Lake Country Club. He also helped coach the Louisville boys’ and girls’ high school tennis teams for four seasons. With decades of experience, Tom remains passionate about mentoring young players and growing the game at the grassroots level.
In addition to his tennis accomplishments, Tom is a certified economic development professional with over 20 years of experience leading initiatives that strengthen communities and create opportunity. He has worked extensively to build partnerships between businesses and educational institutions and understands the power of sport to shape character, open doors, and build lifelong skills.Tom brings to his work a deep commitment to youth, sport, and community development.
He and his wife Jane are the proud parents of six children and reside in Louisville, Ohio.
